Had a great time this weekend checking out a new spot close to my neighborhood. Some delicious Cambodian food. I want to go back already. Cocktails were nice to look at and tasted good, balanced flavors. (Also try Oliver’s Twist for great drinks just down the road from Sophon). I had the Brapeinei (similar to an old fashioned) and the Chnner, which was super fresh and bright. Now to dinner. Oh man, I think pretty much loved everything. We started with the young green mango salad. I could eat this all day. Had a nice hint of heat (spice). The marinated fried chicken thighs were perfect and my gluten-free friend was happy with these. The cauliflower steak had so much flavor. The Thai basil aioli was the best pairing. The braised pork belly was nice, I especially liked the quail eggs with this dish. We finished our meal with the sweet mochi dessert. Like I said, I’m already wanting to plan on taking more friends for dinner. Highly recommended!
