I had their 5-course tasting menu. I shared my dietary restrictions and that I am vegetarian beforehand. And Sorrel did an excellent job at adding delicious and creative alternatives and came up with a vegetarian menu for me, keeping dietary restrictions in mind. All the dishes were great but I particularly liked the one with root vegetables, risotto that was served with a bread with seeds/nuts since I cannot have gluten which I really enjoyed and the desert that I had very slowly because I did not want it get over :D Sorrel also offers zero proof pairings(non-alcoholic) which I decided to go for and was the best decision for this course - this provided more variety like tea, soup and some really interesting drinks which matched so well with the food that was served. Highly recommend this. I had a long day so I was very happy that I had dinner at Sorrel. It did take a while for some dishes to be served, there is no waiting area and have to wait outside until they are ready, it was really difficult to get through on call with the restaurant.

I had one of the best restaurant meals ever in San Francisco last night at Sorrel. The pictured dish is described as maitake / potato / dashi, the first course of seven and my favourite. The wine pairing was very good, and the service outstanding. Great celiac accommodation for me. Instead of the pasta based crab dish I got a stunningly excellent sun-choke risotto. Highly recommended for a special occasion.
