This was the best meal I've had in a long time. Me and my boyfriend came for a birthday meal, and usually dining as a student couple in a fancier restaurant can make us feel a little out of place, but definitely not here. The staff were all incredibly kind while still being professional, and we immediately felt comfortable. The food was incredible. I'm celiac and can't eat gluten and our waiter was very accommodating; most allergies can be catered for as the food is made fresh. The pasta was incredibly flavoursome and the meat was tender. My boyfriend particularly enjoyed his tiramisu and the panna cotta was exceptional. We will most definitely be coming back.

Overall a nice Italian but I wasn’t blown away. Tasty mains but personally I wouldn’t run back because of long wait. Service: Very attentive service throughout lunch. Coat and umbrella check on arrival and always a member of the team around tending to the table. Sadly food service was very slow. We were one of the first in on Lunch service and no table had their mains after 1 hour wait. Table next to us had to chase their food, as did we. Food: Calamari 7/10 - well cooked and not chewy. Not a 10 as I like a variety of squid and this was just rings. Lamb ragu 9/10 - a very good ragu. Friend loved the cheese fondant on the side. Note if you get gluten free version you are given penne. Vodka penne 9/10 - would recommend. My favourite of the two. Nice and saucy but pork was too chewy. Virgin lychee shot: Nice touch that the bill came with a virgin lychee shot Bread: Complementary bread baked in house Allergy: Good with my nut and soy allergy. Calamari cooked in different oil. Note only gluten free pasta is suitable for soy allergy. Positively you would never know the pasta was gluten free which I was very pleased by. Atmosphere: Restaurant is set below street level in the arches. Lovely character. Very busy you will need to book in advanced.
