South+Pine American Eatery

Popped in this week for a lunch with my sisters and niece. It was quiet enough to talk and service was great. My family members got the beet salad with chicken and really crispy, seasoned fries... They liked them so much they got a second order. I got the "pick two" BLT on toast and butternut squash soup, and they were both elevated... Might be the best butternut soup I've had. We appreciate the gf options since half of us can't have gluten. Will be back!

It was a busy Friday evening around 7. If you know Morristown, you know it's very lively. We were seated inside, no wait time despite how busy it was which was very nice. Ambient lighting and upbeat music filled the air. The staff was very attentive. Never rushing us but checking in just enough. We did not pay attention to the fact that it there was no hard alcohol, only a wine infused menu. They had great options. My friend asked to have the closest thing they could make to an "Old Fashion" and it turned out pretty well! We did not miss the hard liquor. When the food came, the presentation was a 10/10. My friend got pork ribs that came with cornbread which he rated a 10/10. As a gluten-free, dairy-free girly, it's a lil harder for me. I opted for the chicken and they quickly accommodated my request for the parmesan truffle fries (minus the parmesan and confirmed that it would be made separately to ensure there was no gluten in the batter). The fries were mouth-watering! I could not get enough! The chicken, not so much but it was plated beautifully! All in all, it was a great experience and we never felt rush, even when it was 25 mins before closing and they were tidying up.
