Horrible Sunday experience! I visit Southern Belle at least once a month- typically during the week and when I go, it’s usually with a large group. I’ve been going for years and this was the first time I left in total shock. They had very young teenagers at the check-in who were not the most professional but the manager (the adult) is what was most concerning. After asking about the seating arrangement and wait time with the front, I was confronted by the manager who instead of asking me about the situation quickly came over and said “don’t badger the staff… there are other restaurants you can go to….”. I was with my nieces and nephews and chose to remain calm but I was furious that she would escalate a situation instead of help it. We had already been waiting 30 min and I had two toddlers with me. We were not given a wait time when we had initially gotten there and the young ladies insinuated it wouldn’t be long. If it was just me, believe me, I would have left in a heart beat.
The server was a sweetheart and the food was great as always. Love that they have gluten free options. However, I will be looking for another restaurant to enjoy family time going forward.
