Southern Tail Brewing

Great service. Delicious food. Gluten free beer (along with lots of other delicious drink options). Gorgeous environment. Don't miss this gem of a brewery off Exit 140.

I was excited to check out Southern Tail Brewing as a new spot in town, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. First, as someone who is gluten-free, I can usually find at least two or three options on a brunch menu, but Southern Tail only had one (a basic combination of two eggs, diced potatoes, and sausage) that I could have gotten cheaper and better elsewhere. After being seated, we waited an incredible 1.5 hours for our food, and when it arrived, it was underwhelming. Small portions, overpriced, and nothing special taste-wise. To make matters worse, I asked for coffee and never received it. The service overall was incredibly slow. For instance, we had to get up and order drink refills at the bar because our waitress rarely came by. The only positive was the space itself; it’s a pretty spot. But beyond that, the long wait, lackluster food, and poor service make it hard to recommend. Southern Tail Brewing has potential, but they have a lot of work to do before I’d consider coming back.
