Cool history and really looked forward to some good eats; unfortunately I’m celiac (the reason I thought this would work for me) but staff weren’t familiar with a celiac diet or ingredients in dishes so I wasn’t able to confidently order. As a traveler, if contamination occurs it negatively impacts the trip, so as a visitor I couldn’t take the risk. Disappointing when we went as a destination.

Great BBQ and sauces. Really enjoyed the brisket and ribs. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful about dietary restrictions, such as changing out gloves, the cutting board, and knife when needed. The original BBQ sauce, original sausage, and chopped brisket (in sauce) are *not* gluten free but there are many safe options for those with gluten intolerance / celiac.
