Tried Sri Lankan food for the first time the other day at @spicyzest—and wow, what an experience! 🇱🇰✨ I thought it might be similar to Indian cuisine, but it was surprisingly different! The flavors were incredibly unique—lots of coconut, tamarind, and mango. Everything we tried was bursting with taste and totally delicious. The owner was beyond kind and welcoming. We let him know that we’re vegetarian, I’m gluten-free, and this was our very first time trying Sri Lankan food. That level of care? So rare—and so appreciated! Since there weren’t too many gluten-free options at the buffet, he even had the kitchen make special rice dishes just for us—like veggie fried rice and a flavorful masala rice. 🥹 Hands down, my favorite dishes were the eggplant salad and the mango curry—I would honestly go back just for that mango curry alone! Beyond the food, the vibe was amazing. The staff checked in often, made us feel at home, and there was even a live singer with such a beautiful voice—it added the perfect touch to an already wonderful evening. 10/10 experience. We felt cared for, welcomed, and absolutely stuffed with delicious food. Can’t wait to go back!
