I like the food here, I saw the option for this place on Uber Eats approximately 1 week before Ramadan started, and ordered the Lox of Love 5 days in a row, and then Ramadan began so I couldn’t order it anymore because they close at 7.
The reason why I’m giving it 1 star is because, now that Ramadan is over, it’s been a bit over a week that I’ve been ordering from Spirulina every day.
Some of their staff are inattentive, and I wasn’t bothered by it in the beginning, but the experience I had today really got me mad.
If you order the Lox of Love, there’s a check box for hard boiled egg, and then there’s another one for 2 hard boiled eggs. Do NOT put the check mark on 2 hard boiled eggs, they only give you ONE. Instead, select the “hard boiled egg” and then hit the + sign, so that you can have double of that one. I don’t know if there’s a staff miscomprehension regarding the check mark box that has “2 hard boiled eggs” because they only give 1, but either way, when you input 2x on the 1 hard boiled egg, it adds up being the same price anyway. I’d suggest to REMOVE the “2 hard boiled eggs” option since your staff can’t interpret it properly.
The food here is expensive on UberEATS so paying extra and not getting it is annoying, but I let that slide and it happened days ago. I just completely stopped adding hard boiled eggs.
TODAY, the biggest problem happened and I am so angry about it.
I ordered my Lox of Love as usual +pickled onions on it, and a PB&J Protein Shake, add-ons: chia seeds, collagen, spirulina, flax seeds.
The Lox of Love usually comes with 2 toasts… tell me why I only received ONE toast HALF-cut from corner to corner????? Already this thing costs a lot and you’re only going to give me half of it?
I generally tell people, if you complain about the price, just don’t buy it. But, if you’re going to pay the price… then you should get what you’re paying for.
On the brighter side, they write your name on the bag with a smiley face, 11 out of 12 times.
To think, I was debating coming out of retirement in my mid-30s to apply for a job here because I wanted to learn how to make their Lox Of Love, because I don’t care how much it costs, they make it really well… and I appreciate that they have the gluten-free option. I feel cheated.
