Sprinkle Me Sugar

I love the charming little shop with its floral garland, but the real stars are the macarons, beautifully shaded with natural colors and filled with inspired combinations of flavors and the proprietor, who links flavors with classic literature and local theater. These are from the Hundred Acre Wood collection, celebrating all things Winnie-the-Pooh. Updated December 2025: gluten-free pastries have been added to the menu for afternoon tea! Since gluten, while helpful in holding bread together, is less—desirable in delicate pastries (traditional wheat pastry flour is low gluten anyway), these pastries are not a compromise between a health concern and flavor, but just lovely and delicious. I had a savory square with prosciutto and a scone with pistachios and raspberry cream. Both were delightful, and I’m sorry I didn’t think to take a picture, because they looked wonderful, too.
