Went to find some gluten free egg noodles for my child who has a wheat and gluten allergy. Normally, I buy the Trader Joe's brand in Southlake, but didn't have time for the trip today. I asked at the deli counter because there was a variety of refrigerated pastas in the area. But the older man behind the counter, after I had posed my question to another employee, responded and asked me if I had LOOKED in the pasta aisle. Well, 1st, I was making my 1st visit to your store. 2nd, I had no idea where the pasta aisle was located. However, I said thank you and that I was sorry to have bothered him and took off looking for the heretofore unknown pasta aisle. So, I make my way across the store and eventually locate the pasta aisle. But lo and behold, who do I see, but the older man from the deli with another employee. At this point, he was trying to be helpful for some unknown reason. But, see I am not a person that is hard to please. However, please don't be rude to me and then have second thoughts. So, the two employees make an attempt to point out items that are gluten free - "they all will have that yellow tag". Ok. I asked for a specific item which neither could point me to. I again thanked them for their help and apologized again for bothering them, to which both said it wasn't a bother. But, listen, you made a very half hearted attempt to help and not look poorly to me, but you and Sprouts failed. I left and went to Natural Grocers less than a mile away, where I was greeted and helped to find the product I was looking for. I am sure I will never visit Sprouts in the future. I know they won't miss my business, but maybe the next person that is a first time customer will be treated and spoken to more kindly than I was this evening.
