My husband and I came here for a nice dinner "together" traveling through as we do about every 6 months. The last few trips through we've tried eating here and its been wonderful! Unfortunately can't say the same about this time.
It started with the place was at least 60% empty so we got seated right off which I thought was great! Until she walked us all the way to the back "passing about 20 empty tables"and putting us in this tiny corner with someone else sitting so close to us we could have just ate dinner together. I felt very clostorfobic! We got up and just went and sat at the bar. We ordered the same exact thing we had the previous visits. He got the braised short ribs and I got the seafood pasta bowl. It looked delicious! I asked my husband to try a bite and I was so surprised at how salty it was! He took a bite and said that's impossible to eat, it taste like the lid fell off the shaker. We sent it back and our server returned telling us that the manager tasted some in the kitchen and realized that the cook didn't follow the recipe and that he put way more salt in it then he should have. So he had to order something else. While waiting for his second meal to come out I had completed mine as it was seafood and I didn't want to let it sit and get cold. So at this point we have both eaten our meals while the other watches. The manager comes over and says she'll offer us a dessert, there's 3 to choose from because he's allergic to gluten. We're not sweet eaters and had zero interest in that. We certainty wasn't looking for a free meal but the proper thing to have done was to comp his since it wasn't his fault your cook messed up the dish or at least offer a discount on it. I felt it was handled very poorly and we have agreed that we will not return and as that may not have a huge impact on you maybe you can learn how to properly take care of a customer that's been here multiple times and own YOUR mistake!
