Stani Tavern

Wanted somewhere in Fira with good seafood at a reasonable price. This place blew expectations! We had grilled calamari and sea bass with salad and roast potatoes everything tasted incredible and the wine too! Also my partner is coeliac (gluten free) they accommodated and were so friendly about it! Was very windy today so didn’t get to sit upstairs for sunset but still had a great evening. Fabulous Greek taverna on an airy rooftop. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about what items were gluten free, and recommended us a great selection of food. Prices were good and food was delicious

A beautiful place with fantastic, helpful and friendly staff, great views across to the caldera and the food was superb! My wife is gluten intolerant, so we were a little bit anxious about ordering the food, but they could not have been more helpful, even going so far as to come back to our table to say they were making a special sauce for her dish that did not contain gluten, and the sauce was superb. They also cook their chips in a separate fryer so they are gluten-free as well. At the end of the evening, they brought us more wine on the house and a couple of digestive shots as we left. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, would highly recommend, particularly if you are gluten intolerant.
