I think the word “Spectacular” best describes my recent experience on the Starlite Sapphire out of St. Pete Beach. We arrived at 6:15pm to find plenty of FREE parking spots. That’s always a plus! I think there were 6 or 7 cars that arrived before us; no long lines of guests waiting to board. Picking up our tickets at the check-in area was a breeze. Boarding was supposed to begin at 6:30 pm, but I think with the large crowd that was expected, they started early. We were greeted by a friendly crew member asking us if we wanted our picture taken. We declined. Once aboard, we were greeted by the very pleasant and friendly Joe, who showed us to our reserved table and checked on us throughout the evening. (I’m glad I paid the extra $25 for a guaranteed table with a window seat, but honestly, I don’t feel there was a bad view from anywhere on the yacht.) I also loved how the tables set for two alongside the windows all had the seats facing forward.
Our server, Steff, quickly introduced herself and took our drink and entrée order. She was fabulous! Her polite and friendly nature and her informative suggestions on the entrée items helped us decide from over 10 options, 6 of which are gluten-free. The chicken spinachi was delicious as was the chateaubriand and the stuffed shrimp. Both meals were served hot and with good-sized portions. Throughout the course of dinner, you will be entertained by Stephanie, who not only uses her professional dj skills, but she can sing. Beautifully! There is plenty of outdoor space on both decks to enjoy the views between each course of the meal or at the end of the dessert. I felt the 3 hours on the calm waters of the inland waters was the perfect amount of time for enjoying our dinner/drinks/entertainment and the spectacular views of the lighted bridges and homes as viewed from the yacht. Highly recommend!
