Staying nextdoor for a couple of nights for trip to Alton Towers and as we’d just driven up from down south, it was handy to just wander across. The welcome was warm but menu was limited compared to our local Marstons pub but the food was nice and catered for a gluten intolerance. Our server Laura was friendly and attentive. It went downhill when they refused to take a £50 note to pay the £45 bill. It’s LEGAL TENDER, if they are worried about forgeries, they should have the tools to check. I don’t know what would’ve happened if I didn’t have a card to pay with. It’s annoyed me enough that we won’t be eating there on our second night!

Service was excellent, Ryan sorted all our gluten free requests out without a fuss, he was polite and professional but also friendly. We had a quirky order but nothing was too much trouble and the chef delivered a great dining experience. Thanks to the team.
