Sticky Rice Cafe

We stopped in for an early dinner as the temps outside were in the mid 90s. One of those days you know you need to eat but don't want something heavy on the stomach. This was the perfect place for that type of meal. They have many gluten free options and even accommodated my wife's onion allergy. She had the stir fry with chicken and sticky rice. I had the beef laab with the veggies as a side. Both were excellent. Note that their laab is spicy. It's a slow Thai chili heat but was a high medium or low hot level by the time i finished my dish. Their chicken broth and sticky rice will be what im getting next time I'm sick and want some comfort food. Our waiter was great. The only ding is the space. The tables are tight. Not so tight that I was nudging my neighbor with my elbow but 6" less and I definitely would have. It won't keep me from coming back for sure as the food was just that good. Just don't expect much privacy in conversation if that's what you're looking for.

The food was absolutely amazing. I have celiac and they had a lot of gluten free options. My wife (who gets to eat actual food with gluten) also loved her meal. Service was amazing and they were all so kind to us and our little baby. We will definitely be coming back.

Great little place tucked away on the side of a shopping strip! Gluten free options were available and one of the best meals I had in Knoxville! Great service, great food, did not disappoint!
