My grandmother and I visited to make a takeout order. I’m always excited to try a new vegan spot; and for those with intolerance, they are also a gluten-free restaurant.
The staff were very lovely and accommodating.
The food, overall, was meh. We both agreed that the “shrimp” was delicious! For me, these were the best vegan shrimp I’ve had. The jambalaya sauce was a very tasty condiment to go with it. You’ll need two sauces, as the containers are small. Actually, the portions of every thing was small.
The “Banging Egg Rolls” were not banging. Both of us had a bite and did not like it; my grandmother spit it out into a napkin. I hate to compare it like this, but it is what I said aloud, the texture of the crumbles is what I imagine dog food texture would be like. Yikes!
My grandmother saved her General Tso for later and messaged me the next morning “Good morning! The meal wasn’t great! We will go somewhere else next time.🙂”.
With all said, I would probably return just for the vegan shrimp, and that’s it.
