Stone and Brew is a small pizza shop open from 4-9 most nights in Highgate Hill. It's in a small block of shops in the middle of the suburb. It is coeliac friendly. I came here with my friend for dinner. The restaurant does calzones, pizza and i think a few other things, they also have a range of alcoholic drinks including certified GF beer and ginger beer, made in a fully GF brewery. They also do table service! We had the Moroccan Lamb pizza and my friend had the 3-cheeze calzone + a ginger beer, me, gf ginger beer. The beer tasted like a normal beer with a little ginger aftertaste. My friend said his was sweeter.
The staff were so polite and friendly, really open and informative. The pizza was really reasonably priced given how things are today, it was about $30 for a pizza with a gf base and it wasn't like 5* smaller than other pizzas. They sure upsold me LOL with a GF Ginger Beer ($14) and $12 for a regular beer, which they poured into some nice glasses for us. We had a really good time and the atmosphere was really welcoming. I've been telling everyone about this place.
