Ooh, the food delights, and the warm lights close to my wife's skin reproduced the glow of first love.

We took a day trip to the Alberta/B.C. border to raise the temperature in our romance. After a wildflower lined hike to the beautiful Boom Lake, this restaurant sealed the mood. (We only stopped in for dinner, not their cabin lodging.)
(I normally post about inexpensive meals for GI sufferers, and in respect for cooks accommodating my GF and lactose demands off-menu, I do not post when the results are bland. Let people who eat from the menu judge.)
The entire entree selection is gluten-free with some fancy vegan selections too — no need to go off-menu. Prices reflect the romantic quality of the ambiance, yet a bargain in the flavour, nutrition, presentation and artisanal vision of the three chefs. The halibut with peach chutney even beats the chef special on top of the Calgary Tower! The bison ribs, unlike most bison cuts, are juicy with dissolved marbling, softer than prime rib and as dense in flavour as wild game.
This place has convinced us to bag all our lunches and put all the savings into repeated trips to the Continental Divide. Nourish your body and love life here at the intersection of Banff, Kootenay and Yoho National Parks. Worked for us, we'll be back again and again.
