Stratosfare Restaurant & Bar

Shrimp was definitely old. Smelt so bad I gagged, and you couldn’t get the poop lines out because of how old they were. My son got really bad diarrhoea afterwards, and shat himself when running to the toilet. My daughter wanted pasta so the chefs made her some gluten free pasta which was really nice. Plus, the dessert was really good and my daughter could eat most of it. The luge was fun for the whole family. My son lost his phone on the track, but the staff were quick to get it back to us.

Went to Stratosfare for lunch and was not disappointed. Had all of the staple options for a buffet. Unsure as to why there wasn’t many more NZ options on the menu. Probably seasonal but everything there was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavour. The chef came out and explained the GF options to my partner and even cooked her some gluten free pasta at her request. Favourite dishes were the meats. Pork, venison and lamb was tender and juicy. The desserts were also delicious and great portion sizes so you didn’t over do it and waste the options. I had the soup and bread and it was a good starter especially on the cold day. The mussels and prawn dumplings steamed perfectly and went well in some pasta and béchamel. Service was excellent very professional and efficient. Especially from the servers and the chefs. Atmosphere speaks for itself with an amazing view.
