We visited this branch while on a trip down from Auckland. Since we have a celiac family member we ordered a gluten-free wrap, to which the lady asked whether it was for allergies. Once confirmed she immediately changed gloves and instructed the rest of the staff down the line to do the same to ensure no cross-contamination. We were blown away at the military precision with which they made the order and the extra care that went into accommodating the request. The other orders were also made to order and very efficiently delivered making sure to accommodate our every need which helped tremendously since we had a fussy toddler with us as well. In general, all the ingredients looked fresh and well-stocked so we could choose from a wide selection of items as fillings for our sandwiches. The meatball sub is always a winner, especially during the colder months, and this combined with the melted cheddar cheese makes for a great and convenient meal on the run. Something we didn’t know was that Subway has a wide variety of gluten-free ingredients that can be added to the wraps and, on request, they can provide a full list of fillings with the allergens and ingredients for one to look at and makes sure and as long as they switch utensils between different customers one can be confident that the meal would be safe.
