I come from Abbotsford, BC and am visiting SK for 3 weeks, on a recommendation came to Summer Roll as they have GF options and I have Celiac disease. I was absolutely shocked to see that ginger beef was GF and spring rolls as well chow mein and talking to the waiter, it seemed true. It tasted amazing! Truly amazing and delicious, so glad I could eat them.
BUT then the evening came….. and I was running to the bathroom every 5 minutes. My intestines were being torn apart! Pain. I was GLUTENED! I should’ve trusted my gut instincts and not had that and ordered what I’m used to. And now a week later I’m still paying for it.
So, CELIACS be careful and cautious
Of course everything I ate was gluten free! The ginger beef had gf beside it, the spring rolls were said to be fried separately in their own oil for no cross contamination and the chow mein was gf Singapore!
