Surf Portsmouth

Tucked in the beautiful historic district, you can eat phenomenal sea food looking at the harbor. The seared tune was absolutely perfect, fresh delicious tuna, sashimi quality, on wasabi mashed potatoes and a tomari sauce and seared broccoli, really perfect ... The raw oysters were phenomenal, I would have gotten more of they were less expensive, $4 each, my husband said that the gluten free New England clam chowder was the best he's ever had, I took a taste and it was wonderful, and then he got the Portuguese fish stew which was "great" really delicious ... I can't wait to return here!! BTW our waitress is amazing, so knowledgeable, Tammy from Nashua, she was extremely helpful in our ordering, so friendly! The atmosphere is .. well, a bit silly, but I can forgive it because the water view and food is so amazing ..

I have celiac disease, and the minute the server (whose name is also Monica) found out she was very diligent in making sure my food was safe! She double checked each dish so that I had no worries about eating :)

I love Surf - I’m vegan and gluten free and they have excellent options and are very accommodating. My family loves Surf for the seafood and especially the sushi! The only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere is that it can get very loud in the restaurant. Other than that, Surf always executes at a high level!
