Sushi Masa Spring

We visited Sushi Masa in Spring on a Saturday afternoon, and despite there being a good number of other customers we were seated immediately. As someone with celiac disease I was impressed that there was such a great selection of items on their gluten-free menu. They even have gluten-free soy sauce. For the first time in my life since going gluten-free over 15 years ago, I got to enjoy all-you-can-eat Sushi with such variety that I actually got to feel like a normal person. It felt liberating! Thank you, Sushi Masa, for offering so many safe gluten-free options. The sushi was excellent. Very fresh and flavorful. Their sashimi is top quality. The rolls were delicious. Their gluten-free fried rice was amazing. The gluten eating people in our party said their non-gluten-free food tasted amazing too. It really amazed me how fast the service was too. We'd order some rolls and they were served within minutes. I couldn't believe it. The staff members were also very nice. The restaurant itself was a pleasant environment. It is nicely decorated (I love the indoor cherry blossom trees). The seats were comfortable. The bathroom was clean. This is a great restaurant for a family outing or even a date. We loved our experience there and we definitely will be visiting again.

They charged me way more for getting gluten free despite me only getting stuff from the lunch menu. I was told the manager instructed the servers to charge them more.

Everything about this place was superb! The service, just excellent, a member of our party has celiac disease and they took great measures to avoid contamination of her food. Even giving her a special menu and a printed out ticket placed discreetly at the edge of our table. Our waitress was very attentive and didn't have to be told twice about the allergy. The food was just awesome! The flavors, and the timing of when they were brought out was perfect. I recommend the sesame balls to start with, a Spicy Kani Roll, and for dessert a little bowl of Red Bean &Strawberry Ice cream! 100% will come here again!
