Sweet E's Café

Came here for brunch and was pleasantly surprised! They have some really good omelettes. I got the Hawaiian omelette with onions, Spam, Portuguese sausage, cheese, and chives, with a side of hash browns, and honestly, it was amazing! Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I’m gluten-free, and usually I can tell pretty quickly if I’ve accidentally eaten gluten because I’ll start feeling sick. It’s been about 2 hours as I’m writing this, and I still feel completely fine, which is a huge plus! My partner got the stuffed French toast, which wasn’t gluten-free, and he really enjoyed it too. Definitely a good spot for brunch!

As tourists, Sweet E’s was a quick in and out breakfast spot where we fueled up after a sunrise hike or before a day of excursions—get there before 8 am to avoid a line. The servers roam between tables to ensure all guests have what they need instead of a single server checking on you infrequently. My coffee never got cold because every time a server saw room, they topped off my mug! I’m vegan and gluten free, so the only item on their menu I could eat was oatmeal, but they doctored it up with toppings like blueberries, honey, and peanut butter. And my husband had leftovers, which is a testament to the large portion sizes!

Great brekkie! I had the smoked salmon and bagel. My daughter had the Benedict minus the muffin-- she can't eat gluten:) Crispy hashbrowns were bomb. Service was amazing!
