This is a home styleChinese restaurant. Service was outstanding and the staff were very attentive and kept asking us if everything was ok. There is a separate gluten-free menu and the choice is reasonable. The main menu is not extensive but covers the usual dishes. I was slightly disappointed in the quality. The gluten free lemon chicken was lacking in sufficient lemon taste but the chicken breast was great. The non coeliac meat dish was very tasty yet overpowered by the use of too much starch in the sauce. Spring rolls were did not contain enough filling. The oil in which they were fried was perhaps not hot enough. The hot and sour soup contained chicken and shrimps and was tasty, although the thickening starch was a bit too much. Overall, excellent service and great for coeliacs who very rarely get the chance to eat Chinese food. Highly recommended.

As others, I'm coeliac, and I've had the Sweet Mandarin cookbook since it came out. Moved away from the north west 25 years ago. Having recently been in Manchester for the first time in about a decade, I took the opportunity to book a table, and, smashing. Food was so tasty, and the service, second to none, front of house team couldn't do enough, and we're so friendly. I hope they know how nice it is to 1, not have to worry when you eat out, and 2, actually have a menu to choose from, not just 2 things on a menu. Was the first Chinese meal I've had, that I've not cooked myself in years. Definitely going to have to find an excuse to be back in Manchester soon.

Having a celiac en el grupo this place is a gem because they have a full GF menu! My padthai was delicious and also the spice potatoes. We booked in avance, we loved the food (very simple but very TASTY!!) and we’ll definitely come back when in Manchester
