Syphay Restaurant

Took my celiac gf on her bday, and they gave her a free coconut ice cream. We asked 3 times if it was dairy free because she's severely allergic. Even when she brought it to the table, I asked if it was dairy free, and she said yes. She comes back after a few minutes and says it is dairy ice cream. She apologized, but the danage was done. They didn't offer a discount or comp her meal. They made her bowels suffer after asking at least 3 times. The sever was in her early 20s, so this wasn't a language barrier mistake. We are very disappointed they didn't try to make right on their horrendous mistake.

My favourite Thai Restaurant in Edmonton, very authentic. Unfortunately didn’t take any photos this time. Food was awesome, their Pad Thai and pineapple fried rice are delicious. Also tried their Phanang Curry for the first time, it was great, I didn’t even have enough rice to finish it. Medium was not very spicy for us should’ve asked for more spicy. Also they have lots of gluten free options. The only recommendation is probably turn the heater up a little bit, it was a little chilly sitting near the door.
