Our first time here and they have made some nice changes on the inside. It is welcoming and cozy. Ordered the garlic cheese cubes for appetizer and they were unique and tasty. Our entrees came with salad & we had the Caesar salad and garden salad, both were fresh & delicious. Garden salad was made of mixed greens, cucumber, tomato and onion. I had the apple vinaigrette which is amazing! I tried their special - planked broiled whitefish with an optional raspberry drizzle. I can’t turn down something unique like this and neither should you unless you don’t like raspberry of course! Fish was very well seasoned, might have been a touch overcooked but it was still enjoyable. I had broccoli for my side and I have to say this was some of the better broccoli I have had at a restaurant. He ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf which he rates as a 4/5. He chose the chili for a side which was pretty good. Let me preface this next part by saying Trio has a pretty extensive GF (gluten free) menu, like a completely separate menu for vegan and GF. We had a GF guest in our party who ordered from the GF menu & she was accidentally served garlic toast with that wasn’t GF. Our server caught this right away (but too late) and quickly came over and disclosed this. Unfortunately she had already taken a few bites out of the toast thinking it was GF. The server apologized and accepted full responsibility (not sure if this was her fault or the kitchen). An unfortunate situation either way. We can only hope they will improve on this and be more conscious of allergies in the future. Besides this mishap, the rest of our experience was positive.
