This cozy tavern features a traditional rustic style and a welcoming atmosphere with several well-maintained dining rooms. While the ambiance is inviting, guests with gluten intolerance should be cautious as gluten-free options are limited and staff guidance on allergens has been inconsistent.

We ate the daily menu, prawn mousse, German salad and knuckle. Dessert, coconut ice cream. Except for the German salad (too basic), they were simple but well-cooked dishes. The dishes were somewhat bland (a widespread opinion among the 8 of us diners), but delicious. And the desserts, too. However, we expected more after the good reviews and previous experience in the same restaurant from several acquaintances. It can be improved, honestly. And the service, quite professional but also could be improved (the waiter did not know which dishes contained gluten and there was a celiac among us).

We went to eat. I have a gluten intolerance. I see that there is no allergen legend in the menu but they say they have it. I ask the waiter. He tells me: "you have it presented there", referring to the normal letter. A haughty and insensitive attitude is already beginning. I tell him no, that way I won't know if something contains gluten or not. He asks me what I want to eat. I suggest ordering roast beef. He tells me I can eat it without a problem. He continues with an unhelpful attitude, a tone somewhere between carefree and haughty. They serve me. I'm trying it and I suspect that the barbecue sauce is made with beer (that is, it contains gluten). I ask them. Several waiters tell me that it doesn't have one. I keep eating. A minute later they come and tell me that the sauce is made with beer. I get angry. I tell you that I have asked you for guidance on several occasions. They take my plate away and the waiter asks me what I want to eat. Of course he doesn't even apologize. I tell him that I will most likely feel bad (sick), and what we will do with that. He says that if I come predisposed to that it will surely happen to me (it turns out that he suddenly goes from waiter to doctor and psychoanalyst). I tell him not to say that, that I have an intolerance and this is not about suggestions. Insist on what I want to eat. I tell them to do whatever they want, I won't pay anything. He tells me if I want entrecôte. I tell him I won't pay anything. They serve me entrecôte. I eat it. We ask for the bill and the entrecôte appears on it. I reiterate that I will not pay for what happened. The subway intervenes and asks about the situation. Let me explain. He says if I have eaten it I have to pay for it. I explain again that I have asked for guidance on several occasions and they have not been able to give it to me, and that I will probably feel bad in a few hours (due to ingestion). He insists that I have to pay for it. The waiter who served us intervenes and says that he will pay for the entrecôte out of his pocket, thank you, goodbye and good afternoon. The coarse, rude and cocky tone persists, almost between throwing us out and giving us permission to leave. In the afternoon I felt physically ill from the ingestion (pain and diarrhea), but above all hurt from the deplorable and insensitive treatment. I won't come back. It is incredible that not even the waiters themselves know what the dishes contain, but the serious thing is that they cannot be curious, sensitive and interested in the problems of others, which in this case have directly to do with health and food.
