Taberna La Pitarra del Gordo

A special and picturesque place, despite being located right in the Plaza de Plasencia, surrounded by various places to eat, but absurdly, they were overcrowded and the prices were somewhat exorbitant. The food was fantastic, especially the fried eggs with paprika. A great touch was that the waiter, who was very attentive and friendly, asked us if we were celiac (yes, we were), after which he served us a delicious gluten-free bread roll (something very strange and unusual). The place has a small terrace, from which you can enjoy good shade in the middle of summer. The only drawback I could mention (if I had to say anything) was that the atmosphere in the plaza was too overwhelming, and the cleaning truck had no better time to pass by than while we were eating. Overall, a very good and inviting place to eat in the center of the walled area of ​​Plasencia. It wasn't my first time, nor will it be the last.

My son and I went to lunch today. We're both celiacs. We don't usually say so, but they brought us a tapa with bread, and when we told them we couldn't have it, they brought us some delicious gluten-free bread rolls! We ordered scrambled eggs, which were exquisite, and the sirloin steak was delicious. We arrived quite late for lunch, and they still served us wonderfully. Out of 1 to 5, it's a 10 for everything, and on top of that, the price is fantastic! Oh, and a bonus: great music!

A 100% recommended restaurant. Located in the Plaza Mayor and with delicious dishes. They also make almost all of their dishes gluten-free so celiacs can eat without problems.
