Tagine is a wonderful place to dine with friends or for an evening out with a date. The lighting is very, very looow (you'll need your iPhone if you want to see the menu). I liked it dark, it cut the distractions and lent the place a air of North African Bohemia. The interior is sexy in a understated way.
The three of us were seated in a corner table on comfortable cushions around a nice, Moroccan inlay table where we had a superb evening. The food was very good. We had the cucumber and tomato salad and tiger shrimp to start. Very nice small bowl of soup with a "vegetable cigar" -- sautéed vegetables baked in a filo roll. For entrees we had the sea bass and the beef quefta. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of mint tea afterwards.
The service was just perfect the night we went. The waiter guided me through the gluten free options and made a couple of substitutions and recommendations which worked out quite well. We left happier and raving about the food. We agreed we'd come again and recommend Tagine to friends.
