5 stars mostly go to the lovely staff at this little French cafe.
LOCATION: 5 or so minutes walk from the train station and a couple of minutes from nearby bus stops. This cafe is admittedly in a dodgy area of Sydney, you'll see other places boarded up that indicate this but in part it's what I love about this location: it's got a lot of life to it.
FOOD: Really simple menu best enjoyed by/served to those who eat gluten. Think really reasonably priced yummy sandwiches/croissants and danishes etc. They do have a vegan bowl though and a couple of vegan options.
STAFF: Super friendly, they made a mistake which admittedly was a tad more serious for me but were extremely apologetic and turned around and made a new sandwich for me, in the loveliest way possible. I cannot recommend the 2 of them enough. They clearly have care and passion for what they do and I wish them the very best.
If you're gf, the toasties just kinda end up paper thin. They mentioned that they were thinking of getting other gf bread, I'd happily pay a few dollars more for wholegreens SOURDOUGH or nonies charcoal bread etc. Appreciate that there aren't a lot of gf folks in the area though. So rate this place highly either way.
ACCESSIBILITY: Ground level allowed for wheelchair, pram, walker access etc and chairs and tables outside mean it's also perfect for those with dog/s. Note: No toilet in cafe. Closest is at the brewery across the road.
OVERALL: Highly recommend, would go back if I was in the area. The coffee was also good.
