Tamarind Indian Cuisine

The first thing you’ll notice going here is the impeccable service. Where you’re dining in or taking out, the staff are attentive and friendly. The food is delicious. They offer a variety of dishes to suit any diet vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and meat options are available as well. I have had both mild and spicy dishes, you’ll find both flavorful and satisfying. Personally I prefer spicy dishes and one thing that draws me to their cuisine is that they use fresh chilies to add spice. I find this crisp burst of flavor balances out the dishes very well. Many places use dried or smoked chilies (which I also enjoy), here you can expect a more refreshing burst of spice that is dangerously addictive. I have tried paneer kadhai which is one of my favorite dishes, paneer korma, chana masala, palak, malai kofta… all excellent. If you tend to have Chicken Tikka Masala but you’d like to try something different, go for the makhani which is also tomato based. If you prefer sweet and creamy try the korma. No matter what you try, you cannot go wrong. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

We've lived in Winter Park for 6 weeks and have eaten at Tamarind 6 times - every time is freaking delicious. Spent my birthday and anniversary dinner there yesterday and loved every minute. Have not had a bad meal and the large portion size means a bonus of excellent leftovers for the next day. They are very accommodating to different dining needs as well: I am gluten-free plant-based, husband is a carnivore, and kiddo is 13 (i.e. "I only eat 3 things age"). My personal favorite are the dosas...the sides are incredible. Husband raves about the chicken tikka and the naan, and kiddo loves the chicken and rice. The service is great, always pleasant and they clearly have a brisk take-out business. Could not more highly recommend and can't wait to go back.
