We visited Tamiami Tavern with a group of 10, and while they were accommodating, we did end up split between two tables—four at one table and six at another in a small room. It wasn’t ideal, but we understood the challenge since we didn’t want to sit outside. Still, the staff handled it as well as they could and were kind and patient, even with some of our older (and grumpier) guests.
One downside was trying to get a gluten-free meal for one of our guests. Their pizzas aren’t customizable, and many of the dishes are pre-prepared, so options were limited. A few meals seemed like they had been reheated.
For the price, I wasn’t in love with what I got, but it wasn’t terrible either. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was genuinely good. With more flexibility in the menu and fresher-tasting meals, this could easily be a five-star experience.
