From my stars it seems as though I thought less of the food. Certainly not the case. First the negative, I ordered a sashimi assortment , not and appetizer but a full order. I have ordered this in NYC, NC and here is south Florida at many places and when it arrives at the table it has always been an assortment..12 to 18 prices and a wide eclectic amount. At Tanka, this is not the case, it was 6 small pieces, 2 each of Tuna, Salmon and Hamachi. That btw, is $36.00. This is absurd especially if you are familiar with sashimi orders and a fan of such. Then for a place so sophisticated they do need to expand their gluten free choices. And there is guten free soy sauce and tamari sauce they can use. This can be very beneficial. Now other than that, the service was tops. Everyone from front to the table was very knowledgeable and very understanding as well as delightful. We had a salt and pepper calamari, gluten free flour substitute, it was excellent. Spicy shrimp on a skewer and bac choy[not sure how that is spelt] and that was very flavorful and the quantity was perfect! I will certainly go again just never order the Japanese again. I am sure there are other wonderful delights of the menu.
