Taproot is one of my favorite spots in the area—I tell everyone to go if they’re anywhere nearby, and I always hear rave reviews after they do. The vibe is cozy and stylish without trying too hard, and the decor really makes it feel like a place you want to hang out for a while. They’re great with allergies (gluten-free included!) and the menu seriously has something for everyone—but that doesn’t mean it skimps on flavor. Everything I’ve had has been fresh, creative, and delicious. And the drinks? So good. They’re unique without being over the top, and always hit the spot. Whether you’re there for lunch, dinner, or just a quick drink, Taproot never disappoints

We came back here after our last trip to Traverse City. The food was so good and the staff was very attentive. I have celiac and the waitress knew what this was and was kind enough to bring me out some chips to munch on while we waited for our food. They took my gluten free needs seriously. I had a delicious grain bowl and my husband enjoyed his burger. The cider flight was great and reasonably priced. Highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area.
