Tavern in the Square

I had a great experience here! I have celiac and was visiting from out of town so finding a place with so many gluten free options was really exciting. Wait staff was super friendly and food was delicious!

Was pumped to find a tavern within walking distance of our hotel on the way home from a Patriots game last night. Was perfect for some late-night snacks and drinks! There was one gentleman working hard and basically running the whole bar while the other two staff members were chatting and laughing quite a bit. I wish I had caught his name because he definitely deserves a shout-out for keeping things going smoothly. The drinks were great, and for 11:30 PM, the atmosphere was lively but relaxed—several tables full of laughter and people enjoying themselves. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, which was pretty good overall. My only critique is that the corn flavor overpowered the chicken and BBQ, but it was still tasty. Also quick shout out for the many gluten free options!

They were great with making sure my food was gluten free. Our server Mia was super helpful, quick, and let me win the check battle with my boyfriend. (We battle over who pays). Give Mia a raise!
