Taverna Greek Resto Bar & Grill

Food was excellent. Friendly knowledgeable staff, my wife has Celiac and needs to be Gluten Free they were extremely accommodating. Service was great that matched the food. If you live in Moncton or are just Visiting it is worth a try. We will definitely eat there when in Moncton

Unfortunately, my experience at Taverna was very disappointing. I was shocked to learn that they don’t allow guests to bring in a gluten-free or vegan cake—even for a special celebration—yet their suggested alternative was yogurt. Yes, yogurt as a gluten-free dessert option. When I politely asked about this, the staff were incredibly rude and dismissive, hiding behind “restaurant policy.” According to NB Food Services, guests are permitted to bring in allergen-sensitive items like gluten-free or vegan cakes when proper precautions are taken, so this excuse just didn’t hold up. Overall, the lack of flexibility and the attitude from staff made for a really frustrating experience. Definitely won’t be returning or recommending this place.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Moncton! I have dietary restrictions (gluten free) and they were so careful in explaining the whole menu, aside from providing a GF pita with a fair extra charge. All the mains are GF and most of the apps can be made GF. Staff is wonderful, happy, nice and very professional. Food is delicious, we had the shrimp and chicken dish, the rice and the potatoes are very authentic. Pro tip: order the side of tzatziki and dip your potatoes in it! Also, the salad is wonderful. The music is vibrant and puts you in a great mood! The decor is also soo pretty! I recommend 100%
