If you're a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, Taza is a must-visit spot! I always seek out places that offer not only delicious food but also a great dining experience, and Taza delivered on both fronts.
From the moment we walked in, the servers were attentive and made sure we never wanted for anything. The meal started with some fantastic falafel, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. We opted for the platter for two as our main entree, and it was a hit! The portions were generous, and we even had enough leftovers for another meal. The hummus and pea soup were standouts—absolutely outstanding flavors.
While the interior may feel a bit cold and spacious, the incredible flavors more than makeup for it. The chicken shawarma, falafel bowl, and lamb shish kabob were all delicious, though a tad dry. However, the Moroccan seafood soup was a favorite, and the service was superb.
For those with dietary restrictions, Taza offers many gluten-free and vegetarian options. The chickpea and bean stew served with an abundance of garlic, was a new and delightful experience for me. The vegan spinach pie was rich and creamy, a far cry from the often dry versions you find elsewhere.
The desserts are a highlight, especially the vegan baklava and cardamom almond dates, which paired perfectly with a cup of decaf. The kunafa was sweet, crunchy, and simply irresistible.
Overall, Taza is a great spot for a flavorful and satisfying Mediterranean meal. The outdoor seating and comfortable booths make for a pleasant dining experience. Plus, the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service you receive. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, Taza is definitely worth a visit!
