Every time I go to El Escorial, I'll eat here.
The croquettes are the best I've ever had (gluten-free, with vegetables). They reminded me of my grandmother's cooking.
The beans had tremendous flavor; all the ingredients had a great taste and texture. The potato omelet was melt-in-the-mouth.
You could tell they used good ingredients and a very good hand in the kitchen; they put effort into it. It's a family business; they know the menu and the suppliers, and they share tricks to bring out the flavor in everything... I really enjoyed the food, and the restaurant was very peaceful.
The bienmesabe also pleasantly surprised us; it was very juicy.
We will definitely return.
