Dairy free and gluten free options make me so happy! Just make sure you add plastic wear so you don’t have to eat with your hands at the bay. I get Tuna Nicoise sub creamy tarragon dressing and my husband gets the Chipotle Chicken salad. We’ve been coming here since the restaurant first opened.

This place is great. They have info listed clearly so you know if an item contains gluten or is vegan. The atmosphere is nice. The patio area is a good size so I sat outside and the food arrived promptly. I ordered a steak salad and a mint lemonade, and a chicken soup to-go. The salad and lemonade were great. When I got back to my hotel, I opened the bag and realized I didn't receive chicken soup, but I got tomato soup. I was pretty sure that I chose the only "gluten free" soup on the menu so I called the restaurant to make sure I could eat the soup. The young lady that answered the phone placed me on a brief hold then said the soup didn't have gluten. I was still skeptical because I had that nagging feeling. So I checked the website. The menu said the soup DID have gluten. So I called the restaurant back. The manager was apologetic since I did not get what I ordered and clarified that NORMALLY the soup contains gluten due to the croutons, however there were no croutons placed on my soup and therefore it was gf and vegan. He then refunded me for the soup since it wasn't what I ordered. I was quite pleased. Even though I did not get what I ordered, I still give 5 stars because I cannot think of a better way to correct a mistake than by apologizing, ensuring the customer that the food is safe, and refunding the item. I visit San Diego a couple times per year for work, so I will be back.
