I had my first Brazilian steakhouse experience at Texas de Brazil in Westlake a couple of weekends ago and had a wonderful time.
It is located in the Crocker Park area with plenty of walkable shopping and well lit parking nearby.
I dined with 3 friends with different tastes and we were all satisfied with the food variety. The salad bar (which involved a lot more than salad) was plentiful and fresh with a large selection of salad options, with an addition of rice, beans, mushrooms in gravy, smoked salmon, and charcuterie selections. Gluten-free cheese bread was served at the table along with several side dishes (mashed potatoes, fries, and a type of sweet fried bananas). The table-side served meat selection had a good variety as well, which included multiple beef cuts (ribs, flank steak, top sirloin, filet mignon), bacon wrapped chicken and pork, and leg of lamb.
While I only enjoyed several types of lemonade when I was there, they had a delicious sounding sangria and appeared to have a large wine selection as well.
Our waitress Eve, was very attentive and helpful the entire evening. The manager stopped by our table to check-in and remained active in the dining room throughout the night, which was nice to see.
The entire restaurant was clean despite the large amount of people that evening. Everywhere remained orderly and the bathroom was clean when I went in.
Overall it was a great and unique experience that I recommend, particularly to meat lovers.
