We were quite impressed with this visit to TR. Chris was our waiter. He is likely the most educated server on allergies that I have ever encountered. My daughter has a cow milk allergy and I have celiacs disease. He knew the menu front and back, including the allergens of each item. He monitored our food as it was prepared and had the kitchen fix some items. I'm very distrusting of restaurants because of our allergies, so we rarely eat out, and TR is not a place we consider when thinking "where should we eat out tonight?" We chose them tonight because we were given some gift cards. I was pleased to see a gluten-friendly menu, which TR did not have last time we came, several years ago. I rated the atmosphere poorly, because the seating arrangement is quite odd. The walking spaces are shared with staff and patrons and are not wide enough to accommodate both comfortably.
We likely will still not be returning since it seemed like the kitchen staff was not as thoughtful as Chris was in regards to our allergies. It's actually quite simple to make food more allergy-friendly. I would be glad to help this chain convert to an allergy-friendly establishment, if they should have the desire to do so.
