Thai On Brock

My husband and I have had a lot of Thai food in the past, and Thai on Brock has the best Thai food we've ever had. We ended up there by accident, and we feel like the stars aligned that night for us to experience the best Thai food. We were going to a movie that night, and we were already cutting it close - having a sit down dinner, and making it to our movie on time. We went to a different Thai food restaurant that we had been to before, in which we've had good experiences but also mediocre, but we were determined to give them another chance. We pulled up, and the sign on the door said, "Take out, only". We were disappointed and stressed because we didn't have a lot of time, and we were really craving Thai food. We did a google search of Thai restaurants near us, and one came up saying, "Whitby's best Thai food". We were about to go there, but decided to read the reviews and look at the pictures, and we were glad we did, because there were a lot of bad reviews. Then Thai on Brock came up, and it was close, and the photos of all the reviewers' meals looked really good, as well as strong reviews about it being amazing. I should also mention that my husband is celiac (Gluten allergy), which makes it very difficult for us to eat out. I called them to ask whether they had any gluten free items on the menu, and the woman was so knowledgeable about celiac, and she said they'd take care of us. We got there and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. She answered all of our questions, and made sure to check with the chef on any gluten questions we had. We ordered the mango salad, which was so fresh and absolutely delicious. I ordered the pad thai with chicken, and it was so flavorful and delicious. My husband ordered the green curry with chicken, and it was so creamy, flavorful and fabulous. It is difficult for my husband and I to go out to restaurants because of his allergy, and so to have such a wonderful experience was amazing. The food came out quickly, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and if they were unsure of something, they checked with the chef. We had a delicious dinner and made it to our movie on time!
