The Cosmopolitan Hotel, Trentham

Had lunch and was delicious High recommend. The food for the 6 of us was amazing. Just very disappointed the fact that they specify certain foods as gluten free which they are not. Eg was a dessert specifies as gluten free and came out with a biscuit that was not gluten free sitting on top of the dessert. My partner is celiac and she was so sick and vomiting for 2 hours after her meals from either the dessert or the calamari which also specifies gluten free but leaning towards the calamari so just be very careful if you can't have gluten. I also rang the restaurant and spoke to the manager on duty regarding this and he was so disrespectful and rude I have never experienced that before literally cut me off and hung up on me not a nice man at all he was not once concerned about my partner and was pretty much saying I was lying Very disappointed as I have been many times and have brought many friends.

Went for dinner and enjoyed the Wagyu beef burger and margerhita woodfired pizza. Both delicious and highly recommend. I am gluten intoleratent, they offer gluten free bases and plenty of additional gf options. Nice selection of craft beers, my partner enjoyed the red duck walking on sunshine which was a tasty sour. Atmosphere and service was lovely, and a nice selection of local wines to purchase as you leave.
