Good food, loud (sometimes hard to hear conversation), and enjoyed by many.
On May 12, 2025, we visited Delbar a second time arriving a bit before closing. We had called ahead to confirm. My wife’s meal was perfect. My steak arrived red rare instead of medium. They took it back to try to fix it then insisted on preparing a completely new dinner to ensure it met their standards. The next steak also was rare near the bone. They realized the bone was causing the steak to remain too rare. They offered to make it again. I declined because out of the two steaks, I’d certainly gotten a single medium steak’s worth. They weren’t happy and refused payment for my dinner and they gave us a free dessert because they wanted to do better.
It is very rare to encounter a server, kitchen and restaurant that has standards and won’t settle, even when the customer is happy - and says so. I’m a total Delbar fan now and will not ever miss a stop here when in the Dells.
A very special thank you to Renee and her kitchen comrades for handling this so well, and making sure it was gluten-free.
