I normally go for lunch at the Dirty Apron and have always had great experiences! Being gluten free makes it hard to find good sandwiches in Vancouver and the Dirty Apron has the best gluten free bread. With that said I decided to try out their breakfast sandwich today for the first time and was very disappointed. The bread was stale and not freshly baked like their lunch sandwiches and the sandwich was just thrown together messily with egg loosely placed on top of only 1/3 of the sandwich. This was surprising considering how good their lunch is! (See pic) I probably won’t be going back for breakfast anytime soon but still recommend it as a great lunch spot!

UPDATE ON INITIAL REVIEW: I was incredibly impressed with how seriously the team at dirty apron took my experience. They emailed me, apologized, took ownership of where the mistake occurred, refunded me my order and ensured I was well taken care of. Mistakes happen all the time but it’s how you handle it that makes the difference - and these guys went above and beyond. I ordered lunch here again today; and this time got the Cuban on gluten free baguette and mushroom soup. Both items came labeled gluten free (showing me their mind was turned to it at the time it was made!) and I could tell the baguette was different than the last one I received (a bit skinnier; delicious but a little less fluffy than your standard gluten bread). ********************************* Had a crazy day at work so ordered lunch from dirty apron for delivery. I wanted soup and checked their website which indicated their feature soup was Roasted Mushroom and that it was gluten free. Excellent. I also ordered a roast chicken sandwich on a gluten free baguette - paid the extra $3 for my gluten free baguette. Unfortunately what was sent was chicken noodle soup with orzo and a roast chicken sandwich on what I have since learned was a regular baguette. I’m extremely allergic to gluten and have spent the rest of the day - (and update: the next 2 days) - completely sick. I usually love this place but dietary restrictions and allergies need to be taken more seriously. I ended up giving my soup away and leaving work early from being so sick.
