The Dunes Saloon Lake Superior Brewing Co.

Great place to visit if you’re in Grand Marais. They now have some gluten free options which is a huge plus - they don’t last time I was there. The food is great. Their beer is great (from what I remember and people say) and they have homemade root beer and cream soda as well. Our service over the weekend was exceptional. One downside was it was a little on the noisy side, with a table of very afternoon-drunk people next to us, buts it’s a bar so that can happen and I suppose we weren’t quiet as church mice ourselves. The other downside is that my father in law uses a walker and he had a hard time with the front door with no rail or grab bar and two narrow and different height steps but I think the side door would have been set up better for him.

Amazing server (Evelin), and I was given a gluten free bun option. Great place, excellent service, and I highly suggest you visit when rock hunting in Grand Marais

I liked how the agates and stones were seen in the logos and design of the building. A true nod to Lake Superior. There was limited beers available today from this brewery but they did have other Michigan craft beers on tap. The food was delicious we tried the cheeseburger on a gluten free bun, white fish sandwich and white fish basket. We loved the spicy tartar sauce, very unique! Hope to be back!
