Amazing place to stop for lunch! I was recently diagnosed with a gluten allergy and am very picky about trying new things while we’re out to eat. I explained this to our server and she said she is celiac and went over all of the gluten free options with a lot of reassurance that they were all fine. I ended up having ribs and mashed potatoes, it was awesome. We also had our 4 kids with us, they behaved well for the most part but spilled a drink, she was super friendly, didn’t seemed annoyed with us at all. It was a wonderful family stop and we will absolutely go back anytime we’re up here visiting!

Great place to visit if you’re in Grand Marais. They now have some gluten free options which is a huge plus - they don’t last time I was there. The food is great. Their beer is great (from what I remember and people say) and they have homemade root beer and cream soda as well. Our service over the weekend was exceptional. One downside was it was a little on the noisy side, with a table of very afternoon-drunk people next to us, buts it’s a bar so that can happen and I suppose we weren’t quiet as church mice ourselves. The other downside is that my father in law uses a walker and he had a hard time with the front door with no rail or grab bar and two narrow and different height steps but I think the side door would have been set up better for him.

Amazing server (Evelin), and I was given a gluten free bun option. Great place, excellent service, and I highly suggest you visit when rock hunting in Grand Marais
