We were looking for a place to have a cream tea and a meet up with the remaining members of our bridal party to celebrate our Golden wedding anniversary and spotted their website. What a gem of a find, Casey and Joe treated us like we were royalty. We booked a nights stay too and we're not disappointed in our choice. Casey fixed up a private room for our party of seven which was beautifully set out and very comfortable. The cream tea was absolutely first class, with ample choices of sandwiches and huge scones including gluten free options. We couldn't have been looked after any better and Casey made sure we were provided with everything we needed, ensuring that everything was to our liking and keeping drinks topped up as needed.
After our filling cream tea we had a wonderful afternoon in the guest lounge/bar, with access to a lovely garden which was used for pictures of our day and again our hosts made every effort to ensure our comfort popping in to see that we had drinks and teas and coffees or anything else we could have needed.
Joe cooked up a fantastic breakfast the following morning, which was served piping hot, freshly cooked and plentiful for even the biggest appetite.
Our room was delightful with lovely views over the farm and stables, with much work being completed to create an altogether lovely space in a pleasingly quiet place in a lovely village of Scalby. There are some nice local walks in the area and some well recommended local pubs too. For the 14 months Casey and Joe have owned The Foulsyke bistro and B&B it is obvious they have worked very hard to create a gem of a business with everything you could possibly wish for topped of with care and kindness, they really made our do a memory to be treasured and fully recommend them to everyone. Thank you Casey and Joe.
