Our first visit since the expansion and refurbishment. We were unfortunately left disappointed. We waited over 10 minutes to be seated in the cafe. There were a number of empty tables. There were some lovely cakes on display but sadly only 2 gluten free options - small portions of chocolate brownie or millionaires shortbread. We know from previous experience you get a huge portion of non-gluten free cakes and plenty of choice! We chose not to eat. The Christmas shop is upstairs and there is no disabled access. We asked a member of staff who said a lift was planned as part of the refurbishment but they were unsure why it was not installed. The food displays looked fantastic - fresh and appetising but the gluten free section was sparse and tucked away in the corner.
